Nestled on an elevated spot overlooking the enchanting Loch Ness, Drumbuie Farm B&B is a delightful retreat that truly captures the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Our experience began with the warm hospitality from Caroline, our engaging hostess, who made us feel right at home, a sentiment I treasure as a history teacher seeking genuine cultural connections. Every morning, we were treated to a scrumptious breakfast in the conservatory dining room, where we indulged in perfectly cooked smoked salmon and scrambled eggs while soaking in breathtaking views of the hills—truly a historian's dream, connecting the past with the present. The comfy room, adorned with a beautiful bathroom, offered us a serene escape, making it hard to leave for even our Highland cow adventure! And feeding Mac the Highland bull? That was a pure joy, reminding me of the stories I'd share with my students about the rich heritage of farm life. We will definitely return for another memorable stay!
